Southport town centre has a growing live music scene and an eclectic mix of venues that hosts gigs and events. Find local acts in cosy pub settings, bands on bigger stages, and some fantastic annual events that attract visitors from afar.
Jazz nights at local favourite Coopers Bar offer a slice of New Orleans right here in Southport, whilst The Atkinson welcomes touring artists to their 400-seater theatre.
Bars and pubs such as The Auld Dubliner, Kokomo, and The Windmill host regular music events including live acts and open mic nights. All are perfect places to enjoy local performers with a pint.

Southport's hub for music, theatre, art, literature, and history. The Atkinson has two performing arts spaces; a theatre auditorium and a smaller studio space

Cooper's Bar

Avenue
Start your night out proper at one of Southport's most popular live music venues.
Each weekend, 20 live acts take to the stage to play indie classics and hits, keeping the dance floor alive throughout the night.

Irish Bars
The Auld Dubliner serves up solo artists and acoustic guitarists each Friday and Saturday, alongside glorious pints of Guinness.
You'll find a buzzing atmosphere at King Street's Connolly's Irish Bar, with regular live music and karaoke nights.

Banff
Banff is place to continue the party late into the night.

Love Folk Festival
The annual Love Folk Festival, based out of culture centre The Atkinson, is a hugely popular celebration of all things folk music. A long list of both traditional and alternative acts perform at the event, which typically takes place over a weekend each February.
